Lucene Index Export add-on

Introduction

To support clustered environments that run on-premise and require highly available solutions, Bloomreach Experience Manager provides a Lucene Index Export Service.

This service support 'hot' exporting the Lucene search index from an active (live) environment. Without this service a Lucene Index backup can only be created reliably by first taking an environment offline. Adding new or restoring existing cluster environments now can use a recent  'hot' Lucene Index export, which can be imported at startup instead of needing to be re-generated. This can save a large amount of initialization time, especially for installations with large content databases.

The Lucene Index Export Service can be added to a Bloomreach Experience Manager project from the Essentials Library.
